Lungo coffee enjoyment for Nespresso®³ made from compostable¹ capsules

The word "lungo" originally comes from Italian and literally means "long". However, it is also used to describe an “extended coffee”. The amount of water plays an important role here. One lungo contains two espressos and, in comparison, three times as much water. This means that the lungo is not only weaker, but also milder compared to espresso.
The advantage is that the delicious cream is retained. The Lungo is particularly popular on various occasions as well as in the afternoon with coffee and cake.

Due to the longer extraction time, more ingredients are filtered when preparing a lungo. This way more flavors are released. Classically, the lungo is associated with the taste of a slightly less intense “espresso”.

The Lungo is milder than an espresso, but still full of flavor and offers a pleasantly gentle and therefore enjoyable taste experience. To achieve this result, both Arabica and Robusta beans are suitable. The quality of the beans is crucial for a perfect tasting result.
