Purchase of this coffee supports farmers in Colombia who were recently liberated from the occupation of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC). They and their families were able to return to the area and grow coffee again.
They now grow traditional types of coffee, although many of them have also switched to organic farming.

Our social commitment
A coffee that is very close to our hearts. Over the last year, My Coffee Cup has noted that the quality of Rwanda coffee is setting a new standard in East Africa. When our green coffee supplier told us about an available organic farm, we were excited to hear that the farm was run by women.
The project “The Women's Coffee Extension” gives women farmers new opportunities economic opportunities and social changes at hand. Many of these women participating in the project are widows or orphans of the 1994 genocide and had to support their families alone.
By purchasing this coffee you are supporting the women involved in the project and with your help we can continue to purchase larger quantities of their products and finance their social development.
